There is a considerable amount of strategy that goes into placing Platinum Arena. The top clans and players&nbsp;are testing new builds each week with an array of champions all with the goal of having someone in their clan get first place. Some more casual End-Game players may only seek to get placement.&nbsp;In this article we will discuss strategies used by the top players as well as current issues with End-Game PVP content.

The following strategies come from members of the Sacred Panda Cluster. Sacred Panda is currently the #1 Ranked clan in Raid: Shadow Legends. As a cluster they have a considerable amount of Platinum Arena first place finishes and are very knowledgeable overall. Below are their&nbsp;suggestions for&nbsp;the best ways any player should&nbsp;approach Platinum Arena.&nbsp;

BUILD DEFENSE

Every player should first build a defense and then gauge the strength of that defense. It is easier to gauge the strength of the defense if you are in plat because of the limited amount of spots. Your clanmates will easily be able to find you and attack the defense as many times as possible to see how it performs against certain offenses. Additionally, other top players&nbsp;may attack it giving you some indication as to the offenses they are testing. According to members from Sacred Panda, they have individual players fighting 800+ fights weekly to determine the defenses they will use during reset.&nbsp;

DETERMINE PLAY STYLE &amp; BUILD OFFENSE

Individual players will have different play styles depending on the strength of their defense. This is also contingent on the&nbsp;consistency of their offense. Your play style may be limited based on your ability to beat teams fast and the types of teams your account can successfully win against. Most of the top players will be able to attack any type of defense and have multiple offensive options that they have tested. Testing your offense and defense are vital to successfully placing in Platinum Arena.&nbsp;

Platinum Arena Play Styles:

- Aggressive

- Team Play

- Safe and Consistent

Aggressive play style is for players with really strong offenses who can get fights in quickly with the goal of gaining a lot of ranking points. It is also used to reduce the points of other players so that someone in their individual clan can climb higher in the ranking. An aggressive player might attack some accounts up to ten times. This is a risky play style because you can also lose battles due to the&nbsp;amount of RNG a given defense brings.&nbsp;

Team play style is essential for the top clans. They coordinate different strategies week to week to ensure that someone from their clan is in first place during arena reset. Players generally do not attack members from their own clan as it is counterproductive to the overall goal of having someone from their clan place first.&nbsp;

Pacing play style is for someone who has an account that might not be able to survive well in the top 100. Once in the top 100 your account will be on the pages of players that will be able to defeat you without much effort. You could get attacked&nbsp;10 times really quickly and all of the losses will come in at the same time pushing you out of Platinum Arena.&nbsp;If your account is not the strongest it is important to pace your push so that you aren't on the radar of the top players unless you have an offense that can make up the amount of points lost. Making up points is very difficult though for inexperienced players. Depending on how much time is left before reset, it may be impossible for some players to make up 60+ points to allow them to place.&nbsp;

Safe and consistent play style is for players with really strong defenses. Players with this play style will also have an offense that has around a 100% win rate. They are able to effectively contribute to the teams play style because they can easily drop the rank of opponents. It is important to have clan members&nbsp;who are able to use any of the given play styles week to week.&nbsp;

The game's content overall is well-designed, but the PvP aspect has faced several challenges and issues. Despite updates and changes, End Game PvP in Raid: Shadow Legends remains a polarizing topic among players. This is due to the ever growing mechanics of the game, and the ever shifting meta. Additionally, the updates and changes have not catered to those not competing in End-Game content. Some feel that the every update makes certain players stronger due to their ability to buy everything that they need to be more successful. There is a desire amongst end game players to make PVP more exciting and more accessible. They hope that by sharing the strategies they use they can encourage more players to try and fight in&nbsp;Platinum Arena.&nbsp;

Strategy aside, one of the most significant issues with PvP in Raid: Shadow Legends is the imbalance between players who have invested in the game and those who haven't. As stated by one player, "People are just outmatched as far as the wallet is concerned." Players who have spent a significant amount of money on the game have access to more powerful champions, artifacts, and blessings.&nbsp;

The introduction of the<a href="https://aftershockunited.gg/raid/champions/marichka-the-unbreakable"> Marichka</a> and <a href="https://aftershockunited.gg/raid/champions/taras-the-fierce">Taras</a> duo&nbsp;further aggravated this problem. The duo&nbsp;created a significant shift in the meta, and players who pulled the duo were suddenly propelled to the top 100, whereas they couldn't even finish in Platinum Arena during reset before. These two champions alone are&nbsp;so strong that players who don't have it are&nbsp;seen as easy pickings.

&nbsp;

<a href="https://aftershockunited.gg/raid/blessing">Blessings</a> and Awakenings are another issue. Blessings have become so broken that they've nerfed one-third of the champions and the only consistent way to beat Marichka and Taras. The only way to deal with them is by debuffing them.&nbsp;High-end accounts that have the Polymorph blessing&nbsp;can't be debuffed due to the immense amount of RNG. It has created a situation where every endgame player has five or six-star blessings on their champions, and running a debuff strategy is impossible. The only option left is to play aggressively, which results in losses and boosting.

In addition to the above, PvP in Raid: Shadow Legends suffers from imbalances created by empowerment and awakening.&nbsp;Some players have access to ridiculous gear that has been ascended, while others don't.&nbsp;Awakening a champion allows them to have stat bonuses that make them almost impossible to defeat with certain accounts. The upcoming accessory ascension dungeon will likely&nbsp;create additional imbalances.

Reset time is one of the largest factors that determine whether a player will push Platinum Arena during reset. After&nbsp;Spring daylight saving time, Platinum Arena reset is 4am EST. In the Fall it&nbsp;goes back to 3am EST. This makes it difficult for players to compete as they don't want to wake up during that time. Many people have other things they need to do on Monday mornings and pushing Platinum Arena reset just doesn't seem worth the lost sleep.&nbsp;

Many players have not tried to push Platinum Arena during the week and are likely unaware of what their account can accomplish. The team compositions, blessings, and awakenings can be very discouraging.&nbsp;On the other end of the spectrum are players who refuse to push because they don't think it is worth it if they won't get first place. Hex Bloom (A1) 

Attacks one enemy and fills this champion’s turn meter by 10%. If the target is under a Hex debuff, the turn meter fills by an additional 10%. When enemies under Hex attack Arathea, she counterattacks with this skill.

This ability allows her to cycle turns faster while maintaining steady damage output, especially when Hex is consistently applied.

&nbsp;

Capricious Spite (A2) 

Attacks all enemies twice. Damage increases by 10% for each enemy under Hex. The attack ignores Shield and Strengthen buffs, and it also ignores Block Damage on enemies under Hex. 

This skill fills Arathea’s turn meter by 30%, with an additional 20% turn meter gained for each enemy killed by the attack. 

This is her primary damage ability and can generate additional turns if she secures kills.

&nbsp;

Mind-Snare Cloud (A3)

Places an Increase Accuracy buff on all allies for two turns. It also has a 100% chance to place a Deathbrand debuff on a target enemy for two turns and a 100% chance to place Hex on all enemies for two turns.

After placing these debuffs, Arathea fills her turn meter by 50% plus an additional 10% for each debuff placed. She also places Block Damage on herself for one turn. 

This ability is the core of her kit, enabling Hex synergy while providing survivability and large turn meter boosts.

Passive – Withering Harvest 

Arathea gains permanent bonuses based on the number of enemies she defeats during battle. 

After one kill, she ignores 10% of enemy defense. After two kills, she gains a shield equal to 40% of her maximum HP at the start of her turn. After three kills, each attack decreases the target’s turn meter by 10%, which cannot be resisted. 

This passive rewards aggressive playstyles and allows her power to scale throughout longer fights.

The Merciless set is one of the best options because it provides Ignore Defense and additional turn potential, helping increase both damage and momentum during battles. 

Stat priorities should focus on Attack, Crit Rate, Crit Damage, Speed, and Accuracy. Aim for 100% Crit Rate, high Crit Damage, and enough Accuracy to reliably land Hex and Deathbrand.

Alternative Gear Options 

Savage and Cruel combinations provide strong Ignore Defense for Arena damage builds. Lethal sets are another excellent choice for maximizing damage output. Perception gear can also be useful if you need additional Speed and Accuracy to land debuffs consistently.

Arathea performs best with a standard nuker mastery setup focused on maximizing damage while supporting Hex uptime.

Arathea Corpseflower introduces an interesting concept with her Hex-based mechanics and kill-scaling passive. Her kit allows her to cycle turns quickly and gain additional strength as battles progress. 

However, she also faces several limitations. Her base attack is relatively low for a Void Legendary damage dealer, and much of her power depends on securing kills and maintaining Hex debuffs on enemies.

Raid: Shadow Legends</a> is launching a major weekend of summoning events, combining a 2x shard event with several 10x boosted champion events. This gives players an opportunity to both increase their chances of pulling legendary champions and target specific powerful champions. 


The event begins Friday, March 13, featuring boosted summoning rates across multiple shard types. Alongside the 2x event, Plarium is also launching multiple 10x events featuring champions such as Storm Herald Hecaton, Bayak, Basim, and Keberon the Underflame. 


For many players this creates a strategic decision. You can summon broadly during the 2x event for the best odds at any legendary champion, or focus on the shorter 10x events if you are targeting a specific champion.


 


2x Event Overview 


The weekend begins with a 2x summoning event across several shard types:
