Raid's newest dungeon is soon to be launched. Sand Devil's Necropolis will feature Al-Naemeh the Sand Devil and anyone strong enough to beat it will be able to obtain Lesser, Great and Superior oils needed to ascend gear their gear ranging from Rank 4 to 6.

You shouldn't worry too much about ascension until you can comfortably farm Rank 5 and Rank 6 gear from Stage 13 and higher from any of the other dungeons. Although it is possible to ascend Rank 4 gear it is highly reccomended to not do that until much later on.

Rank 5 artifact ascension should be considered only if you are having difficulty pushing dungeons and progressing to Stage 20 where rank 6 gear has a higher chance to drop.&nbsp;

You should ideally only ascend Rank 6 Gear as the cost to fully ascend an item ramps up and the power associated with a fully ascended rank 6 item should be considerably higher. Definitely worth hoarding your resources and waiting for the right ascension rolls.&nbsp;

The Sand Devil's Necropolis will feature a ramping energy cost identical to the other dungeons with Stage 25 requiring 20 energy per run. As such, we have calculated the average efficiency of expected oils per run based on the datamined drop rate percentages (there is also a 0.5% chance for an ancient shard to drop).&nbsp; 
 
Most notable areas to farm are stages 7, 11,21,24

Lesser Oil&nbsp;will be farmed solely until Stage 10. In terms of efficiency for new players stage 7 will yield the higher amount of lesser oils per energy spent.

Greater Oil&nbsp;can be farmed from Stage 10 and higher with notable efficiency at Stage 16 for farming both Lesser and Greater Oil. The highest efficiency for strictly Greater Oil farming appears to be at stage 24(7% higher than stage 25).

Superior Oil&nbsp;will be of course sought out by everyone looking to max out their gear ascension as gear cannot be fully ascended without these. Starting out at Stage 17 you can farm these oils&nbsp;with the most efficient stage being Stage 25.

Right now, if one champion is close to capping their scrolls, any extra scrolls earned in the run are simply wasted. That has always made Minotaur farming less efficient than it should be, especially when finishing off a mastery path on one champion inside a full team.

In the next major update, those surplus scrolls will instead move to a teammate with the highest amount of the equivalent scroll type. It is a straightforward change, but a useful one. Between Edward Kenway’s Pirates Path, a handful of strong featured Void Legendaries, and a very unusual empowerment overlap, this is one of those events where account context matters far more than first impressions.

In a normal week, this would be easy to dismiss as another bait-style summon event. The extra dungeon boosts are decent without being exceptional, and the featured lineup looks strange at first glance. Once the full picture comes into focus, though, this event becomes much more interesting for players chasing Edward Kenway, players targeting Bayek, or players who have been sitting on valuable awakenings and duplicate champions.

Yukimasa, Demon of Ice remains a strong hybrid damage-and-control option. His AoE ignore Block Damage and 100% Freeze potential on a three-turn cooldown gives him real value, and the revive utility adds another layer to his kit.

Harima is still one of the strongest defensive answers in PvP. Her passive reduces enemy Ignore DEF effects, which gives your team breathing room against some of the hardest-hitting threats in the game. She also adds provoke control, survivability, and respectable damage.

Lady Kimi remains a valuable speed and control champion, but two other names really stand out here.

&nbsp;

Yco, Ruel Bonespear offers one of the most unusual support-control kits in <a href="https://www.raidshadowlegends.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Raid</a>. She can reduce ally cooldowns while also increasing enemy cooldowns on the same skill. That is rare utility. She also brings debuff reflection, opening value in niche PvE fights like Bommal while remaining very strong in PvP builds that lean into speed or resistance.

Riho Bonespear is arguably the premium PvE pull from the void side of this lineup. She brings a loaded debuff package, excellent support through cleanse, heal, and Block Debuffs, and she fits brilliantly into high-end setups, especially when paired with gear sets that reward broad debuff coverage.

Jingwon is the sleeper pick. He increases debuff duration, brings Block Active Skills, Block Buffs, buff removal, and passive anti-CC support. He is still underappreciated by a lot of players.

Best overall Shadowkin targets: Harima, Riho Bonespear, Yco, Yukimasa, and Lady Kimi depending on whether your account needs PvP control, PvE support, or speed utility.

Edward Kenway Pirate’s Path Event Breakdown

The headline event this week is clearly the Pirate’s Path for Edward Kenway. This is the kind of event that gets attention because it offers a direct route to a limited crossover champion instead of leaving everything to raw summon luck.

The announced reward path includes:

• Edward Kenway • 5-Star Perfect Soul for Edward Kenway • Avatar • 400 Titan Points • Additional rewards along the path

&nbsp;

Players will earn points by upgrading champions and summoning champions from shards. That matters, because Path events usually force a choice between grinding hard through champion training or moving faster with shard resources. In practical terms, shard efficiency usually wins unless you are already sitting on a large backlog of food, brews, and chickens.

Why Edward Kenway Is Worth Considering

&nbsp;

Edward Kenway is one of the more interesting Assassin’s Creed crossover champions because he is not just a straightforward nuker. He brings control, buff theft, turn meter pressure, and clean PvP utility.

&nbsp;

His kit is built around Veil and Perfect Veil synergy. His setup skill grants Perfect Veil to himself and allied Assassins, which makes him a real enabler in assassin-heavy teams. His A3 ignores Shield, Stoneskin, and Block Damage while also bringing Block Revive, making him dangerous into revive-heavy or protection-heavy teams.

&nbsp;

His AoE control skill is the real eye-catcher. It steals all buffs from all enemies on the first hit and then follows with Sleep on the second hit. If he is under Veil or Perfect Veil, those effects become far more oppressive because the buff theft and control become much harder to play around. That gives him immediate value into teams relying on Stoneskin, protected buffs, or Block Debuffs.

He also applies Ensnare, which is a newer control effect that prevents enemies from receiving turn meter boosts. On top of that, his A1 is a triple hitter with turn meter reduction, giving him another useful job into modern PvP defenses and helping chip through multi-layered protection mechanics.

Edward is not flawless. He does not start the fight pre-loaded with Veil or Perfect Veil, which means lockout and control teams can still interfere with him before he gets going. Path events tied to summoning are usually far more efficient through shards than through brute-force champion training alone. • Save food and brews before the event opens. If you want to reduce shard usage, pre-building rank-up materials gives you a second scoring route. • Do not chase everything blindly. Work backward from the Edward milestone and decide in advance whether you also care about the 5-Star Perfect Soul, Titan Points, or side rewards. • Avoid wasting resources across all three events. Progressive chances can tempt you into spending before the guaranteed-style event even starts. • Value account fit over hype. If Edward improves your PvP drafts, control teams, or Assassin synergy, the Path has a real case. If not, this is still a resource-heavy event.

 Attacks all enemies. Removes all buffs from each target, then places a Decrease ATK debuff and a Block Buffs debuff for 2 turns. Grants an Extra Turn. 

Lord of Terror (A3) 
Attacks all enemies. Places a True Fear debuff for 2 turns. Also places a Decrease SPD debuff for 2 turns. Decreases each target’s Turn Meter by 30% if the True Fear debuff is placed. If not placed, places a Sleep debuff for 1 turn instead and still decreases Turn Meter by 30%. 

Leering Grin (Passive) 
Has a 50% chance of decreasing the duration of all buffs on the attacker when an ally is attacked. Whenever this Champion is attacked, decreases the duration of all buffs on the attacker.
