In this new dungeon Sleep is going to be a very crucial mechanic to make sure your team can reliably place on the boss because it will make it much weaker and the dungeon way easier to clear successfuly.

The boss will have a slumber mechanic that only allows it to be hit a certain number of times before it will awaken from it's sleep that you placed it under. Think of this like a reverse mechanic to the Fire Knight dungeon, where instead of needing to hit the boss a certain number of times to unlock a weaker phase, this will instead be the opposite where you only get a window for that weaker phase until a certain number of hits resets it.

The first active skill that the Sand Devil has in it's arsenal is called Rage of the Sands. An AoE attack that can lower your SPD and ACC. Block Debuffs buffs or high resistance will be crucial to avoid this making your team much weaker.

The 2nd skill is more of a self-support skill for the boss, where it will remove all debuffs then heal. After healing, it will attack your whole team proportional to how many buffs it cleansed from itself. So the more buffs you had placed on the boss before it cleansed, the weaker it will hit you.

The 3rd skill can either be very devastating, or mostly avoided. You can increase the cooldown of this skill by making sure to constantly place Sleep debuffs on the boss. This skill will completely ignore Shield, Block Damage, and Unkillable, while hitting insanely hard because of ignoring all defense, so do everything you can to not face this ability.

The Sand Devil will also have a wide array of passives. This one must be dealt with because it makes the boss immune to any and all debuffs, until a Sleep is successfully placed. After placing a Sleep, this passive becomes like the ones you're used to from other bosses making them mostly immune to the CC effects. This passive also provides increased damage mitigation against your team's skills that gets larger as you go higher in stages.

This passive will make the boss destroy the max HP of your champions. You will also have to face max HP destroy when you decrease it's turn meter, but if you have placed a Sleep, you can recover that destroyed max HP by healing your champions with a support.

Dreamless Sleep is what runs the slumber mechanic that will be denoted on the far left side of where the abilities are listed. Each hit will lower the slumber counter by 1, and when it hits 0, any Sleep debuff will be removed and the bosses turn meter will fill by 50%. He will then be immune to Sleep debuffs for 1 turn. The available window to place hits during this slumber counter will go down and get tougher for you as you climb into later stages.
