RAID Shadow Legends officially announced their next fragment event champion, Jetni the Giant, on May 4th 2023, and the events will start on the following Thursday, May 11th 2023.

Jetni the Giant is a Legendary Attack champion, in the Barbarians faction, who is Spirit affinity. It is very hard to predict the value of damage dealers when they are initially teased, because we need to know what the ability multipliers are in order to judge if they will have enough damage potential to be viable.

Jetni the Giant will be the 14th Legendary champion for the Barbarians, and the 5th Attack Champion. She will have a pretty reliable way to place some CC with her A1 ability being a multi-hitter that can [Stun] consistently, while also bringing [DEF Break] that will be very good in boss fight PvE content.

Her A2 is an AoE nuke that can naturally ignore 20% DEF, which is extremely good because most of the nukers in RAID that are rising to the top, have capability to naturally ignore opponent DEF.

The A3 is also another AoE with a self-buff before the attack, which is also very META right now, as we see damage dealers with self buff extra turn mechanics becoming very valuable in the Live Arena. Unfortunately, the extra turn will only proc if she gets a kill AND Alsgor Crimsonhelnm is on the same team.

As of writing this, we do not have any information on Alsgor Crimsonhelm, which will be a pretty big impact on Jetni's value as 3 of her abilities have tandem with him.

It is almost impossible to accurately predict her value within the game as of right now because we do not have 2 different components of crucial information, which are the multipliers, and how good Alsgor Crimsonhelm is. Demon Lord Clan Boss still matters because old-school sets like Cruel and Immortal can still produce genuinely useful pieces over time. These are not the flashiest sets in the game anymore, but they are far from worthless. 

Hydra should not be skipped casually because it feeds into some of the strongest restricted gear in the game. Clan Shop remains important as well, especially for picking up Legendary Chaos Ore and other useful resources during refreshes. 

Cursed City deserves steady attention on both difficulties if the account can manage it. Even normal mode can still provide meaningful value, and over time those extra attempts can turn into real upgrades in sets like Supersonic and Merciless. 

Doom Tower is still worth climbing every rotation for the rewards alone, and Dark Fae stays especially important because of Lethal. Even outside of that, free-key content should not be ignored too lightly. It may feel tedious, but over time even niche sets can become useful. 

Siege matters for Feral. Grim Forest matters for Mercurial. Live Arena matters for Impulse and Zeal. None of these are modes that should be treated as optional if the goal is long-term endgame efficiency.

For many players this creates a strategic decision. You can summon broadly during the 2x event for the best odds at any legendary champion, or focus on the shorter 10x events if you are targeting a specific champion.


 


2x Event Overview 


The weekend begins with a 2x summoning event across several shard types:
