This week’s Progressive Chance event in Raid: Shadow Legends does not look especially impressive on the surface, but there is a lot more value here than a normal 15x roster would suggest. Between Edward Kenway’s Pirates Path, a handful of strong featured Void Legendaries, and a very unusual empowerment overlap, this is one of those events where account context matters far more than first impressions.

In a normal week, this would be easy to dismiss as another bait-style summon event. The extra dungeon boosts are decent without being exceptional, and the featured lineup looks strange at first glance. Once the full picture comes into focus, though, this event becomes much more interesting for players chasing Edward Kenway, players targeting Bayek, or players who have been sitting on valuable awakenings and duplicate champions.

Why This Raid 15x Event Matters

The biggest reason this event matters is simple: Edward Kenway’s Pirates Path opens at the same time, and summoning is the easiest way to move through that event. That immediately gives this Progressive Chance event more weight than it would normally have. Instead of being judged only on the quality of the featured roster, it also has to be evaluated in terms of how well it supports one of the most desirable limited-time crossover champions currently available.

On top of that, there are extra dungeon incentives running alongside the summon event. Spider offers 3x Banner Lords accessories, Ice Golem offers 3x Reflex gear, and Fire Knight offers 3x Stun gear. None of those are bad, but they are not the kind of side boosts that completely change the week on their own. Stun gear can still be worth the effort if there is overlap with your current plans, but this is not one of those slam-dunk farming windows where everything lines up perfectly.

Featured Champions in the Progressive Chance Pool

The featured lineup includes Kassandra, Shyek, Ezio Auditore, Helior, Cupidus, Bayek, Pontiff Augustin, and Ursuga Warcaller. It is an unusual mix, which is exactly why it is easy to underestimate at first.

Kassandra remains notable as the first Arcanist-style fusion added to the game, while Shyek still offers a solid option from Sacred Order. Ezio, of course, carries built-in appeal because of the Assassin’s Creed crossover. Helior and Ursuga are not the type of champions most players immediately circle as top-tier summon targets in the current meta, which is part of why the deeper value of this event can be easy to miss. Then there is Cupidus, Bayek, and Pontiff Augustin, each of whom gives this roster a very different layer of relevance depending on what your account needs most.

Bayek Is the Clear Meta Standout

If the goal is simply to identify the strongest champion on the roster in today’s meta, Bayek is the clear standout. He brings a very unusual passive that opens up some creative and powerful play patterns, hits hard, and adds meaningful utility through his extra-turn buffing mechanic. The ability to maintain Perfect Veil for a large portion of the fight only adds to his value, especially in competitive Arena settings where both pressure and survivability matter.

This is the easiest champion on the banner to justify chasing if the account can support the risk of summoning during a Progressive Chance event. He is not just good in theory. He is good right now, and he fits the current game well. For players who want immediate impact rather than speculative long-term value, Bayek is the best name on the board.

Pontiff Augustin Is a Quietly Strong Value Pick

The other champion worth taking very seriously here is Pontiff Augustin. He is not the obvious flashy headliner, but he brings a lot to the table. A unique passive, an extra turn mechanic, a 25% Turn Meter boost, and a strong 110 base Speed all combine to make him one of the more intriguing strategic options on the roster.

For players with strong Knight Revenant speed banners or for anyone already sitting on a high-value awakening for him, Pontiff Augustin becomes even more appealing. He is one of those champions whose value can increase sharply once the supporting pieces are in place. That makes him a legitimate consideration, especially for accounts that are already built to take advantage of his kit.

The Hidden Value: Empowerment Overlap

This is where the event becomes more than it first appears to be. Several of the featured champions are not just standalone pulls. They are also empowerment champions for some of the crossover champions players care most about right now.

Cupidus is the empowerment champion for Ezio Auditore. Ursuga Warcaller is the empowerment champion for Bayek. Helior is the empowerment champion for Edward Kenway. That completely changes how some accounts should value these summons. A champion that might otherwise feel like a mediocre or outdated pull can suddenly become highly relevant when it directly boosts a champion you are actively targeting or already using.

That matters even more during a week centered on Edward Kenway’s Pirates Path. If Edward is the goal, Helior carries much more practical value than he would in a normal Progressive event. The same logic applies to Ursuga for Bayek and Cupidus for Ezio. This is what makes the roster look strange at first, yet quietly strong once the empowerment links are taken into account.

A Good Reminder About Duplicate Legendaries

There is also a broader lesson here for long-term account management. Duplicate Legendaries should not always be rushed into empowerment just because they are not seeing regular play. Events like this are a good reminder that a champion’s value can change quickly once new empowerment pairings or crossover synergies enter the picture.

A duplicate Ursuga or Helior may not feel important in a vacuum, but that calculation changes once they become a direct route to improving a stronger, more relevant champion. In other words, even lower-priority dupes can end up having real future value. Burning them too early can be a mistake.

Should You Summon in This Event?

That depends entirely on what your account is trying to do this week. If Edward Kenway’s Pirates Path is not a priority, if Bayek is not a target, and if none of the empowerment angles matter to your roster, then this still looks like a fairly average Progressive Chance event. There is value here, but not enough to ignore discipline with shards.

If Edward Kenway is the goal, though, or if Bayek and his empowerment path are already on your radar, the event becomes much more appealing. Bayek offers top-end immediate value. Pontiff Augustin offers sneaky upside for the right account. Helior, Ursuga, and Cupidus all carry hidden value that can matter more than their surface-level ranking would suggest.

Conclusion

This Raid 15x event is not just another routine summon window. The dungeon boosts are serviceable, the featured roster is stronger than it first appears, and the real value sits in the overlap between Edward Kenway’s path and the empowerment champions hidden inside the Progressive pool.

For accounts chasing Edward Kenway, looking for Bayek, or holding useful awakenings and dupes, this event deserves a much closer look than the average 15x. That is what makes it more than meets the eye.

Edward Kenway summon value rises sharply in this Raid 15x event thanks to hidden empowerment overlap, Bayek, Pontiff Augustin, and smarter shard decisions.
