There is a new legendary champion being added to the roster in RAID Shadow Legends as the fusion champion event in April of 2023. Razelvarg&nbsp;is going to be a rabbit themed champion, in the Skinwalkers faction, who is Magic affinity and will fill the role of a utility Speed champion who can possibly put out a decent amount of damage as well. We will have him added to our <a href="https://aftershockunited.gg/raid/champions" target="_blank">FULL OVERALL TIER LIST</a> as soon as we know the multipliers and base stats to more accurately predict his overall value.&nbsp;

The fusion will be starting on Thursday, April 13th, 2023. Razelvarg will also be a "classic" fusion, meaning there will be other champions who need to be leveled up and developed to sacrifice into fusing him to complete the event.

When his kit was first released, there was some confusion among the player-base on if his Passive ability would affect the entire team or just himself. His passive will only apply to himself and hopefully it will be worded better in the future to be less confusing.

It's going to be hard to accurately predict his strength as a champion until we have more testing and information, but his kit does seem very generally useful, especially for players who do not have a reliable Speed booster yet. There is also an A3 ability that can be a big boost to Accuracy, making it easier for progression-type accounts to hit some of the accuracy thresholds required in content.

Initially, there seems to be a bit of a divide in the RAID Shadow Legends community about the first overall perception of Razelvarg's kit. There is a decent spread of players from multiple perspectives between viewing him as Excellent, Underwhelming, and Trash.

Personally, I would say that he seems fun and interesting based on a Passive ability that allows him to scale up to cranking out an absurd amount of turns. I do wish that his passive and snowball ability had a little more team utility, like doing something for his allies each time he takes a turn, so that is a ding against him. If his multipliers and base stats are good, I could see him being a very solid PvE champion that adds something interesting to most players' accounts. He will not be some game-changing meta-shifting PvP god or anything, but does at least do something interesting with value in his kit.

*His base stats were revealed via access to a test server after initially writing this article. His toughness is a bit underwhelming, but other than that his speed and attack are pretty decent. It is really unfortunate that his base accuracy is 0, because he does need ACC for consistently keeping the AoE Leech up. Since that is the one and only thing in his entire utility as a champion that needs ACC, it would have been a huge buff to him if that Leech could not be resisted.

Since all his abilities scale his damage with both ATK and SPD, it is going to be very difficult to accurately define his multipliers until we can get ahold of the actual game code data. At that point, we can make a much more accurate assessment of his potential value. That should be very soon within just a day or two. As of right now, it seems like his damage potential is at least decent based on anecdotal testing, which is at least encouraging.&nbsp;

Right now, if one champion is close to capping their scrolls, any extra scrolls earned in the run are simply wasted. That has always made Minotaur farming less efficient than it should be, especially when finishing off a mastery path on one champion inside a full team.

In the next major update, those surplus scrolls will instead move to a teammate with the highest amount of the equivalent scroll type. It is a straightforward change, but a useful one. Anything that cuts down waste in mastery farming is a net positive, especially for players still building core dungeon, Hydra, Doom Tower, or Arena rosters.

Pelops the Victor was marketed with passive immunity to Petrification, but players quickly found scenarios where that immunity did not hold up. This week’s Progressive Chance event in <a href="https://www.raidshadowlegends.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Raid: Shadow Legends</a> does not look especially impressive on the surface, but there is a lot more value here than a normal 15x roster would suggest. Between Edward Kenway’s Pirates Path, a handful of strong featured Void Legendaries, and a very unusual empowerment overlap, this is one of those events where account context matters far more than first impressions.

In a normal week, this would be easy to dismiss as another bait-style summon event. The extra dungeon boosts are decent without being exceptional, and the featured lineup looks strange at first glance. Once the full picture comes into focus, though, this event becomes much more interesting for players chasing Edward Kenway, players targeting Bayek, or players who have been sitting on valuable awakenings and duplicate champions.

Yukimasa, Demon of Ice remains a strong hybrid damage-and-control option. His AoE ignore Block Damage and 100% Freeze potential on a three-turn cooldown gives him real value, and the revive utility adds another layer to his kit.

Harima is still one of the strongest defensive answers in PvP. Her passive reduces enemy Ignore DEF effects, which gives your team breathing room against some of the hardest-hitting threats in the game. She also adds provoke control, survivability, and respectable damage.

Lady Kimi remains a valuable speed and control champion, but two other names really stand out here.

Yco, Ruel Bonespear offers one of the most unusual support-control kits in <a href="https://www.raidshadowlegends.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Raid</a>. She can reduce ally cooldowns while also increasing enemy cooldowns on the same skill. That is rare utility. She also brings debuff reflection, opening value in niche PvE fights like Bommal while remaining very strong in PvP builds that lean into speed or resistance.

Riho Bonespear is arguably the premium PvE pull from the void side of this lineup. She brings a loaded debuff package, excellent support through cleanse, heal, and Block Debuffs, and she fits brilliantly into high-end setups, especially when paired with gear sets that reward broad debuff coverage.

Jingwon is the sleeper pick. He increases debuff duration, brings Block Active Skills, Block Buffs, buff removal, and passive anti-CC support. He is still underappreciated by a lot of players.

His kit is built around Veil and Perfect Veil synergy. His setup skill grants Perfect Veil to himself and allied Assassins, which makes him a real enabler in assassin-heavy teams. His A3 ignores Shield, Stoneskin, and Block Damage while also bringing Block Revive, making him dangerous into revive-heavy or protection-heavy teams.

His AoE control skill is the real eye-catcher. It steals all buffs from all enemies on the first hit and then follows with Sleep on the second hit. If he is under Veil or Perfect Veil, those effects become far more oppressive because the buff theft and control become much harder to play around. That gives him immediate value into teams relying on Stoneskin, protected buffs, or Block Debuffs.

He also applies Ensnare, which is a newer control effect that prevents enemies from receiving turn meter boosts. On top of that, his A1 is a triple hitter with turn meter reduction, giving him another useful job into modern PvP defenses and helping chip through multi-layered protection mechanics.

Edward is not flawless. He does not start the fight pre-loaded with Veil or Perfect Veil, which means lockout and control teams can still interfere with him before he gets going. Work backward from the Edward milestone and decide in advance whether you also care about the 5-Star Perfect Soul, Titan Points, or side rewards. • Avoid wasting resources across all three events. Progressive chances can tempt you into spending before the guaranteed-style event even starts. • Value account fit over hype.
